Building a Better Supply Chain: The Quest for Data Accuracy
ABI EC October 2008 Education Forum Wrap Up
Industry members joined ABI EC at the recent Building a Better Supply Chain: The Quest for Data Accuracy Education Forum in Chicago. The Forum provided a chance for attendees to learn from their peers, customers, and industry experts about how data accuracy can improve their supply chain, operations, customer relationships and growth areas. The lack of accurate product information causes new product introduction delays, order accuracy issues, invoice errors, and ballooning freight and warehouse costs. This is why many leading industry companies have made data accuracy a priority in their organizations. | |
Speakers included representatives from Accenture, Constellation
Brands, Glazer's, PA Liquor Control Board, PepsiCo, Southern
Wine & Spirits, ANSI X12 and SUPERVALU.
Session topics covered the industry challenges of inaccurate data,
retailers expectations, the role of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI),
bar code quality, and a panel discussion on the current state of
product information. |
